About me
Marie Wehrung is a seasoned talent and organizational development professional who designs and implements talent strategies, develops and delivers training, and serves as a thought partner whose insight, experience, and programming lead to increased engagement, retention of top talent, and productivity. She has facilitated hundreds of training sessions to thousands of individuals over the course of her career. In her role at Rice University, from which she retired in fall 2022, Marie oversaw programs that enabled organizational, team, managerial, and individual success. She worked with employees and departments to enhance workplace performance, and provided professional development resources to meet organizational needs.
Marie also is a certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation. In her coaching, she partners with and engages clients in a collaborative process to support them in developing skills, addressing challenges, and achieving goals.
Marie has presented multiple sessions at the ATD International Conference and Exposition, the ATD Houston Conference, the CUPA-HR National Conference, and the Texas Coaches Coalition All Texas Retreat and Conference. She holds an AB in Biological Sciences from Smith College, and an MS in Human Resources Development from Texas A&M University - Central Texas. She’s especially passionate about two things: applying design thinking to the work she does, and impacting lives through coaching others and facilitating programs that lead to behavior change and produce results.
